I enjoy not knowing what will happen next in a story. Predictability takes all the interest out it.
ReplyDeleteLife is that way. No matter how much we long to know what will happen next, the Writer decided to make it a mystery.
I definitely agree with you. Though there are some stories that are written in such a way where you are given no direction, and would give anything for a clue or some insight into a possible next step. Mystery is great, but too much can confuse and alienate your reader. There's a balance. I'm still learning this myself.
